On October 1st, the SVFD Auxiliary dedicated a memorial garden in honor of life members of the department who have passed away. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, the ceremony was small and not publicized. The reason for the memorial is to recognize and honor the members who helped Company 2 remain a volunteer fire department for many years which took a lot of hard work, dedication, and thousands of volunteer hours. In the future, we will add the names of members who pass to honor their contributions to the Department.

The memorial also includes a resting bench in honor of Michelle Wilhelm, a dear friend and life member of the Auxiliary. Michelle passed away unexpectedly last year. The bench is an invitation to sit and reflect on memories and these individuals that are close to our hearts and the Department. We invite you to visit our memorial garden.
