EMTs are often the very first people to arrive when someone in our community is having their worst day. Whether it’s a medical emergency, vehicle crash, cardiac arrest, traumatic injury, or assisting during fires and disasters, EMTs provide critical lifesaving care before a patient ever reaches the hospital.

Becoming an EMT-Basic is more achievable than many people think. Most EMT courses can be completed in just a few months depending on the program schedule, with options often available during evenings or weekends for those balancing work, school, or family life.

As an EMT-Basic, you will learn skills such as:
🩺 Patient assessment
❀️ CPR and AED use
🩹 Bleeding control and trauma care
πŸ’¨ Airway and oxygen management
πŸš‘ Emergency medical response and transport
πŸ“‘ Communication and teamwork during emergencies

But being an EMT is about more than medical skills. It’s about compassion, leadership, confidence, teamwork, and serving something bigger than yourself.

Many of our members started with little to no experience. Through training, mentorship, and dedication, they became trusted providers serving our Stafford community every single day.

If you have ever wanted to make a real difference, now is the time. We are always looking for motivated individuals ready to learn, serve, and become part of our fire and EMS family.
