The Stafford Volunteer Fire Department is proud to congratulate Drew Chubb on being officially released as an Engine Driver/Pump Operator (DPO)!

Becoming an engine operator is no small accomplishment. The release process is lengthy, challenging, and requires a significant commitment of time, training, and dedication. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in emergency vehicle operations, pump calculations, water supply and fireground hydraulics, apparatus placement, incident and scene management, and much more.

An Engine Driver/Pump Operator carries tremendous responsibility. They are responsible for the safe operation of the apparatus, the delivery of water on the fireground, and most importantly, the safety of the entire crew from the moment the apparatus leaves the station until it returns back in quarters.

Drew’s achievement reflects countless hours of training, studying, and hands-on experience while proving his competence to our officers and experienced operators. His commitment to mastering these critical skills exemplifies our department motto, Dedicated 2 Excellence.

Please join us in congratulating Drew on reaching this important milestone. We look forward to seeing his continued contributions to Company 2 and the citizens of Stafford County.

Congratulations, Drew! Well earned and well deserved! 🚒👏
