After a couple hours of pumping evolutions, problem-solving, and demonstrating the knowledge and skills required of a DPO, we are proud to congratulate Firefighter Korbin Brehm on successfully completing his testing! 👏🚒

While Korbin worked through his scenarios, our probationary firefighters took advantage of every evolution to get some valuable hands-on training. Members practiced pulling, advancing, and managing hose lines, coordinating attacks from three different sides of the structure, and working together to maintain effective fireground operations.

Training like this allows us to accomplish two important goals at once—developing our next generation of apparatus operators while giving our newest firefighters more repetitions on the fundamental skills they will rely on when the tones drop.

Congratulations, Firefighter Brehm!
