The purpose of this program is for live-ins to capture the life experiences and education necessary for future development in the fire service today, while providing needed staffing for the Stafford Volunteer Fire Department. The program is both demanding and time consuming, but it is our hope that it creates the discipline and respect that is expected in a career fire department. If you are interested in becoming a live in with one of the most aggressive and dedicated fire departments in the area, then the Stafford Volunteer Fire Department is the place for you. Live in members of the department generally receive the best experience and training in the shortest amount of time. The amount of calls that the live in members respond to, coupled with the increased level of involvement with in station affairs makes for an invaluable experience that will positively contribute to a person's career in the fire service. The “Live-In” members at the Stafford Volunteer Fire Department strive to be proficient in everything they do.
