Why did you become a firefighter?
-Brotherhood was like the Marine Corps, tight and close knit.

What about being a firefighter do you enjoy most?
-Training the new ones on the basics.

How long have you been a firefighter?
-31 Years

When did you join the SVFD?
-Oct 2022, Started out at Falmouth VFD in April 1992

What do you do for a living?
-I am the Division 2 Chief for the Virginia Dept of Fire Programs

What is your greatest memory of your time with the SVFD?
-All of it is good memories.

What positions have you held within the SVFD?

Engine or Truck?

What advice would you give someone who wants to become a firefighter?
-Learn the Basics and never forget them. If you started out as a Volunteer never forget where you came from. Never stop training, there is always something new out there.
