Over the years, Lt. McDowell has been more than just a career officer to us — he has been a mentor, a friend, and a steady presence for our volunteers. His leadership, character, and willingness to invest his time in teaching and guiding others have made a lasting impact on Company 2.

He has a unique ability to make even the toughest tasks enjoyable, reminding us that while the job is serious, camaraderie and attitude matter just as much. Through his mentorship and personality, he has helped make us better firefighters and better people.
