Brush trucks are uniquely equipped for incidents like this. In addition to wildland firefighting equipment, they carry chainsaws, hand tools, and other specialized gear needed to remove debris and clear roadways. They are also equipped with powerful winches that can be used to move heavy tree trunks and other large obstacles.

Using a brush unit for these types of calls helps keep our larger fire apparatus available and ready to respond to other emergencies in the community.

πŸ‘ Thank you to the volunteers and some of our community residents who answered the call tonight and continue to serve our community, especially during severe weather events. Your dedication does not go unnoticed.
