While all of Company 2's apparatus were already committed, our volunteers still answered the call for additional staffing.

Recognizing the need for more personnel, our members responded to Company 14 and staffed Engine 1514, allowing that apparatus to be placed into service while Company 14's career personnel were assigned to Rescue 1514 and operating at the fire scene.

This is a perfect example of why the training, certifications, and release processes matter. Volunteer firefighters in Stafford County complete the same certification requirements and operational release process as our career personnel. That commitment ensures complete interoperability between volunteer and career members, allowing us to seamlessly support any station, any apparatus, and any emergency when our community needs us most.

We are proud of the members who stepped up and answered the call:

πŸ‘¨β€πŸš’ OIC: Captain Gus Leite
πŸ‘¨β€πŸš’ DPO-I: Technician Drew Chubb (not pictured)
πŸ‘¨β€πŸš’ DPO: Technician Carlton Burkhammer
πŸ‘¨β€πŸš’ Firefighter Gage Moore
πŸ‘¨β€πŸš’ Probationary Firefighter Hunter Shelton

Whether staffing our own apparatus or helping another station maintain operational readiness, our volunteers continue to demonstrate what it means to be Dedicated 2 Excellence.

Thank you to all the volunteer and career personnel who worked together to protect our community last night.
