๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐ŸŽ†

As we prepare to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the United States, the Stafford Volunteer Fire Department wants everyone to enjoy a fun, memorable, and most importantly safe Independence Day.

Before you light that fuse, remember:

๐ŸŽ‡ Know the Law
โœ”๏ธ Only consumer fireworks are permitted in accordance with Virginia and Stafford County regulations.
โœ”๏ธ Fireworks are only permitted on July 4 and December 31.
โœ”๏ธ Always check for any local burn bans or restrictions before using fireworks.

๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘ง Keep Kids Safe
๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿš’ Adult supervision is required at all times.
๐Ÿ’ง Keep a bucket of water or a garden hose nearby.
๐Ÿ“ Use fireworks only in open areas away from homes, vehicles, dry grass, and trees.
๐Ÿšซ Never allow children to handle or ignite fireworks.
โœจ Light one firework at a time and never attempt to relight a dud.

๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ Dispose of Fireworks Properly
๐Ÿ’ฆ Soak all used fireworks in a bucket of water for several hours.
โ„๏ธ Ensure they are completely cool.
๐Ÿ›๏ธ Place them in a plastic bag before throwing them away.

Every year, preventable fireworks accidents result in serious burns, injuries, and fires. A few extra moments of caution can make the difference between a memorable celebration and an emergency response.

From all of us at the Stafford Volunteer Fire Department, we wish you and your family a safe, happy, and patriotic Fourth of July as we celebrate 250 years of American independence!

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Dedicated 2 Excellence
๐Ÿš’ Serving our communityโ€”today, tomorrow, always.
